Funny Thing about art…

art gallery

Anything can be (is) art! Art is whatever you want or imagine it to be! Art is everywhere!  Art is Me and I am Art!  (As are you)!

A happy surprise on our trip to Orlando – An Art Festival at Epcot!

I'm going to make everything around me beautiful, that will be my life. - Elsie De Wolfe

Few of my favorite things…

Pisces

anything involving the sea or boat travel is a win for this water sign.

My Art-folio

A few paint classes & random pieces that sparked my inner creativity.  While I do enjoy painting with oils, they do take a bit longer to dry between layers.  But i will definitely be creating more magic with my oil paints, and the acrylics!

Experimenting with Oils!

Pisces is ruled by Jupiter in ancient astrology and Neptune in modern astrology. Neptune is the planet of the unconscious, and creativity. An outer planet known for its imaginative and dreamy qualities, Neptune grants the Piscean personality an inclination toward the arts and magical thinking, and Pisces folks are often natural-born creatives. in spiritual realms.

Red Trucks at Christmas Time

Fall Pumpkin

...

On my way through the forest, just like Little Red, to face the big bad wolf.  I so enjoyed practicing to paint this with Cinnamon Cooney.  There were a few winds blowing in my life, and I was definitely continuing to walk on and push my way through the wind.

Abstraction Action! (Abstract Poppies)

It is said that the Dolphin portrays and symbolizes:

  • Peace
  • Harmony
  • Protection
  • Playfulness
  • Joy
  • Inner Strength

Frozen Rose In Winter!

One from a Paint Night!

I love the whole romantic concept and vision of this painting.  The thing that I love most about it is the frozen glass, but the rose is truly still alive, even in the snow and even in the frozen glass – is the Rose frozen in time in its own beauty?

Couple Walking In Fall Rain!

Thank you Again My Art Sherpa!

This was fun!  I love that the couple stands out in abstract surroundings! A windy fall, rainy day!  Sometimes the world around us seems so abstract!

Underwater Ship wreck

Thought I would paint this as a birthday gift for my brother!  Reminded me of when we were children playing “Battleship”!

This inspired me to pick up (again) my paintbrush!  I thoroughly enjoyed this “Painting With Jane” tutorial.  I loved painting this – hope my brother loves looking at it, as much as I enjoyed painting it!

Waterfalls inSpring!

A Very Merry Christmas

Made this for a friend from an image I found on Pinterest! This was definitely fun!  I’m actually quite proud of how it turned out! I pray that my free-hand skills continue to develop magnificently!

Happy New Year 2020

I kind of went out on my own to do something expressive and fun! This was just fun, just like the new year that I intend on having! I’m excited about this whole new Chapter of Life! I have been and I will continue to be extremely blessed!  May this year BLESS us all with all of the joy, health, well-being, prosperity, love, peace, happiness, magnificence, adventure & fun that our hearts can hold & our mind/bodies can stand!

Thank You Cinnamon Cooney (My Art Sherpa) for this tutorial!!  Think I totally rocked it!

Fun YouTube Paintings with Two of My Favorite Paint Instructors - The Art Sherpa & Painting With Jane!

JUST SOME FUN STUFF

So, it had been a couple of months since I’d picked up my paintbrush and I knew I was losing some crazy skills and creativity points by not practicing.  I don’t really know or understand what was happening in my brain space, but I was happy when it passed.  I’m thinking it was after my last therapy session that I decided it was time to dive back into it!  I picked up my paintbrush and for two whole paintings in a half, one canvas completely in the trash,  was back on track.  I followed a “Painting With Jane” tutorial to get this one done.  I needed to walk along, it was so therapeutic and I learned some different techniques.  Thus, after a few failed attempts, this was my own personal masterpiece that evolved!  I am still quite amazed of its turnout!  My sincere thanks to Jane for being an awesome instructor!

Just Art!
(my art)

violets by the window

This time picked up my pallet knife to create my window and the sunshine peaking through – and LOVED the effect that it gave my WHOLE painting!

Again, so much fun!

Rainy violet Roses

Finger painting flowers and run-a-way splatter – but so much fun!

Abstract Poppies

My impression of Vincent Van Goh’s Apple Blossom & Book Painting and Flowers in a Vase (“Painting With Jane”)!

Both of these paintings were a tad bit challenging, but in a fun -push the limits of my creativity sort of way – so much fun and so glad I kept going – I almost quit, but only once.  Instead of quitting I simply walked away from it for a few moments (several times).  It seemed easy enough but there is a lot of color, layering and technique involved with both paintings – I love it!  I love creating art and am most ALWAYS amazed at the finished product. My glass is a bit “not so perfect and my vase is a bit – let’s just call it unique, but I decided that I didn’t care and I would just leave it.  I like it.  Love it actually!

A Wintery Cabin

This is one of my “at home – Painting with Jane” favorites!  Received so many compliments on this one – I LOVE the way it turned out!  For me painting/art-ing is like medicinal magic.  It soothes, heals, refreshes – it’s like inspirational meditation! I love picking up my paintbrush, dipping it in the paint, mixing a few colors together, sloshing it on a canvas and watching what magic appears or comes to life.  Whether I’m following a tutorial learning new techniques, eye-balling an image and making my own rendition or pulling something out of my own imagination – it’s ALL healing magic.  I especially love those pieces that inspire conversation, imagination and deep thought, those are fun!  If you think you can’t paint – you definitely can and it will only get better and better and better!

Artistic
stuff

PAINT

I never thought I would be much of a painter, but I LOVE ART!  So it all started when my darling best Doll Debbie and I decided that we would go to a sip & painting event!  OMG, I was such an amateur, but we had SO MUCH FUN!  I guess the bug bit me that night and now I am a junior Picasso, (not really) but I feel like I am a painting phenom! 🙂

WINE

I just have fun with it – I enjoy it and I am in my zone, my element, my zeal… my … ahhhhh.. another breathing space!  Sometimes I am inspired before I pick up the brush, as I pick up the brush, and sometimes after.  Sometime I just lay down the background and build from there – and sometimes it is such a magnificent background – I finish it, seal it & hang it!

I LOVE IT!!!

FUN TIMES

Whether I am painting alone in the paint corner of my inspired space or with friends, I am happy and inspired by what comes alive on the canvas!

thankful

On my Own!  I actually painted this one for my primary care physician.  I painted this one during all of the screenings after my actual diagnosis.  She is a phenomenal doctor and I wanted her to know just how much I appreciated her!  To this day I still remain thankful and hopeful to my WHOLE team of caregivers!
