Beau's On The River In Cuyahoga Falls

Beau’s on the River in Cuyahoga Falls, inside the Sheraton Hotel.  A hidden gem, for sure!  Everything about this spot is spot-on! The food, the atmosphere, the ambiance, even the customer service is amazing!  Such a nice place to dine, or stop by, have a cute drink & listen to a live band on the weekend, or have a delicious, fulfilling brunch on Sunday!  The food, breakfast, lunch or dinner is absolutely scrumptious!

The restaurant and lounge sit right over the waterfalls, the view alone is mesmerizing!  It is definitely one of my favorite places to visit!

CLEVELAND

Our city - our town - great fun!

Our vision

Keeping it Local is about showcasing fun stuff to do here in Cleveland and some of the surrounding suburbs!  So many fun things to do as we expand our “coolness” on the world map as a fun place to travel!  But when you live here, it’s a bit more challenging to find fun stuff to do, especially if you’re doing a stay-cation!  So I have made it my personal mission to find FUN stuff to do here and abroad – bet you didn’t know about our local beer and food tours!  So Check it Out – Learn something new and find something FUN!!!

Fun At Edgewater

Edgewater Park is one the largest Metro parks - yes, It's HUGE! It's one of my most favorite places to visit and it sure has come a long way! (Have you been lately? - So much fun)! On any given day there is something here for everyone - you can find a sweet spot to write, draw, paint, meditate, yoga, read, relax while listening to the waves crash up against the rocks! Jog along the shore. Have a picnic in the grass. Listen to some live jazz. Venture various food trucks.

CLEVELAND BREW BUS TOUR

The Cleveland Brew Bus is one of the newer fun things to do – well I mean it’s only been around since about 2014 – but I think it’s getting more popular with so many breweries coming to life!  I’m not a beer connoisseur, but I swear I didn’t know there were so many million kinds of ways to brew beer! I thought this would be something new, different, cool & fun to do for my husband’s birthday  I enjoyed learning about the history of certain breweries and how they came about. You get 4 pretty nice-sized samples, a chance to order food, mingle, hang out and drink beer until your heart’s content!

We so enjoyed walking around Tremont learning about the history of the town, from past to present!  It’s such a cute quaint place tucked away – with some of the BEST FOOD around.  The tour definitely opened our eyes to lots of good food places in Tremont and the Ohio City area!  Check out some of my favorite places below!

the botanical gardens

If you LOVE flowers & foliage, if you even like any kind of flower, this place is a must!  So fun, so educational and so beautiful! This is such a spectacular gem tucked away in the core of the City.

Cleveland Aquarium

The Shark! My favorite sea animal is the Shark! I have always been fascinated with the Shark, I had no idea there were over 440 species of sharks, because I’ve always been so fixated on the Great White!  What I absolutely LOVE about the Cleveland Aquarium is their shark exhibit.  You walk through this tunnel and there are sharks swimming all around you and over your head, just everywhere sharks – I LOVE IT!  Of course there are other aquarium features – but I will go time and time again just to see the almighty-amazing Shark!

Rock n' Roll Hall of Fame

The root of music culture in our own backyards! This musical gem of a place is not only about the history of Rock n’ Roll, but the history of music – OUR music!  Music that has shaped our culture from the early 1900’s up until today.  The exhibits are amazing, very educational and ever evolving, just like the music itself.  You can literally get lost for hours swept away & entertained!

I fall for waterfalls

I love Waterfalls and our towns are overflowing with FALLS!!  Olmsted Township, The Bedford Viaduct Park, Chagrin Falls, Cuyahoga Valley Falls, just to name a few.  Nothing is more serene or tranquil than water gushing down a mountain or rocks!

I took the one above in Chagrin Falls and the one to the left was taken in Olmsted Falls.

blue ice

How cool is this? I took this in the winter in Bedford down at the Viaduct!  Even in the winter the falls are still flowing – but the waters that are frozen in time look so mystical & magical, right?!

Spring, Summer, Winter Fall – anytime is a Great Time to visit the waterfalls!
